On Sunday, August 3, 2025, I performed at Sneekweek on the Lollipop Outdoor Stage — and what an incredible time it was! I spun a vibrant mix of dancehall, Afro, reggaeton, and urban tunes, and the energy was absolutely electric.

Sneekweek itself is an iconic celebration held every year in Sneek, Friesland — a week-long explosion of sailing, live music, festivities, and fun. In 2025, it ran from August 1 to August 7  Here’s a bit more insight into what makes it so special:

• Europe’s largest inland sailing regatta: Professional sailors compete in dozens of classes on the Sneekermeer, with viewing points like the Starteiland offering everyone a front-row seat 

• Opening ceremony & Vlootschouw: The festivities kick off with the grand opening on a Friday evening — a parade of illuminated ships, music, and fireworks under the Waterpoort

• Live music across the city: Every evening, multiple stages light up Sneek with performances spanning various genres—creating a buzzing, festive atmosphere 

• All-day fun: During the daytime, the city transforms with street theater, children’s entertainment, the Hardzeildag market on Wednesday, the Sneek funfair at Martiniplein, rubber-boat races, SUP tours, and more

• Sustainable & well-loved: The event draws around 250,000 visitors, features a reusable cup system, SUP clean-up initiatives, an auto-free city center, and active recycling efforts to keep the festival lively and eco-friendly
